Components of the APsystems battery system for solar panelsĀ 

An APsystems energy storage system consists of a Power Conversion System (PCS), low-voltage battery(ies), and the ECU-C monitoring unit with coils. The PCS converts alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) for the battery and back to AC when needed. The single-phase unit has a capacity of 5,000 watts, and the three-phase unit 12,000 watts. This makes the system flexible and suitable for a wide range of solar energy installations.Ā 

Different modes of the APsystems home batteryĀ 

The battery has two main modes: standard mode and AI mode.Ā 

  • In standard mode, several settings are available: reserve energy mode (backup), self-consumption mode, advanced mode, and peak reduction mode.
  • AI mode responds to dynamic energy rates and uses intelligent algorithms to make the best decisions based on the priorities and needs of each household.

Additionally, the home battery can function as an emergency power supply in the event of a power outage. The system can also be configured so that no energy is fed back into the grid.

The 5.12 kWh battery has a maximum charging capacity of 3.7 kW and a discharging capacity of 5.12 kW. The 10.24 kWh battery can charge and discharge at a maximum of 6.14 kW. When multiple batteries are added, the maximum charging and discharging curve is adjusted until the PCS maximum power is reached.Ā 

Each system can also be expanded with up to 32 batteries in parallel, allowing the total capacity to grow flexibly with the energy needs of a household or business. The APsystems home battery uses LiFePOā‚„ (lithium iron phosphate) cells, a technology known for its high safety, stability, and long service life. The battery is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation and has an IP65 rating. Charging is possible from -5 °C, with the battery automatically warming itself at low temperatures. The charging temperature range is -5 °C to 55 °C, while the discharging range is -15 °C to 55 °C. This makes the APsystems solar battery reliable in virtually all weather conditions.Ā Ā
