The Sessy Home Battery with Smart Software at OptimaSolar

OptimaSolar has recently added the Sessy home battery to its product range! This Dutch-made product features smart software that continues to evolve. As of June 2024, OptimaSolar is an officially certified Sessy partner. We install the Sessy battery in the Eindhoven, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Tilburg, and Breda regions.

Connecting the Sessy Home Battery – With or Without Solar Panels

The Sessy battery has a capacity of 5.2 kWh. It’s modular and expandable—up to two batteries per phase (based on a 3x25A main connection). What makes this battery unique is that it works with virtually all inverters and is suitable for both households with solar panels and those without.

Smart Software Included – Free of Charge

The Sessy battery includes five smart software modes: Zero-to-the-Meter, Dynamic Mode, SessyConnect (imbalance market), Eco Mode, and Open Mode. The ideal mode depends on your needs and energy contract—and you can switch modes at any time. For example, you might use Zero-to-the-Meter in summer and Eco Mode in winter. Sessy enables trading with Frank Energie, and with a fixed or variable contract from Eneco, you can support the national grid via GridEase.

Cost of the Sessy Home Battery

With feed-in charges rising and the net-metering scheme set to end, the Sessy home battery is an ideal solution for many households. A 5 kW home battery is already available from €3,950, including VAT and installation!

Moreover, you don’t necessarily need to use your own savings. The Dutch National Heat Fund (Nationaal Warmtefonds) offers responsible financing. The interest rate is fixed for the duration of the loan, and for households with a collective income below €60,000, the interest is even 0%. The maximum loan amount available is €8,500.
