Want to get the most out of your solar panels? Then it’s important that your APsystems monitoring is working properly. This allows you to keep track of your solar energy production and quickly detect any issues….

APsystems is an American company founded in 2009 in Silicon Valley, United States. Its solar panel system uses micro-inverters. The standout feature of this product? You can connect multiple solar panels to a single micro-inverter!
As the development of increasingly powerful solar panels continues, OptimaSolar recently decided to add APsystems to its product range. These micro-inverters are well-suited for high-power panels, with output capacities of 730 watts (DS3-L), 880 watts (DS3), and 2000 watts (QT2). They also come with a 20-year product warranty.
One key advantage of APsystems micro-inverters is the ability to connect multiple solar panels. The single-phase micro-inverters (DS3-L and DS3) have two inputs, while the three-phase micro-inverter (QT2) offers four inputs. With an output power of 2000 watts, the QT2 reduces the number of micro-inverters required—saving on costs.
Not using all the inputs right away? No problem! Unused inputs can be temporarily capped, making future expansion easy. This flexibility makes APsystems micro-inverters ideal for upgrading existing solar systems.
The micro-inverter converts the energy generated by solar panels from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC), which is used in the home—making it extra safe. Additionally, each APsystems micro-inverter includes a built-in relay, meaning only a residual current device needs to be installed in the meter box. This takes up minimal space.
With APsystems, each solar panel has its own input, enabling panel-level monitoring. The system uses a monitoring device that must be plugged in somewhere in the home—such as the attic, living room, or meter cupboard. The connection can be wired or wireless (Wi-Fi), offering great flexibility.
APsystems also offers home batteries, each with a usable storage capacity of 6 kWh. Because the energy stored in the battery is DC, a separate Power Conversion Unit is required. The battery can charge and discharge at 5 kW and comes with a 10-year product warranty.
